Feel That Vibe

I bought this dress last week on a trip to the mall with my dear friend Desiree. I tend to hold back on major spending for myself such as clothing asides from simply things but I had some extra money after paying bills I thought it was time to pick up a dress or two. Pacsun was having a sale buy one get the other half off so I couldn't resist and picked up this lovely dress and a beautiful green one.

Dress: Black Poppy Boho Dress,Pacsun
Necklace: Gifted
Shoes: Dollhouse Oxford Flats, Rugged Warehouse
Tights: Walmart

Sorry for the poor picture quality but my camera was being difficult.

Obsession Wednesday

I have such a long break on Wednesdays due to my class schedule so be expecting more than just this post sometimes. Especially since it's freezing here in NC and reading outside isn't much of an option (I tried eating lunch outside..bad idea). Anyway back to my recent obsession.

As a college student my clothing budget is limited and many of my summer items convert to winter items with the addition of a cardigan. Recently I've been obsessed with over sized cardigans that I can wear my ol' band shirts, jeggings and a nice flat or boot and still stay pretty warm. So here are some I've been eying:

Major Projects Underway

As it's getting closer to the end of the year there are some projects that I kept putting off that I want to get done especially when I know family will be visiting for the holidays. There are some minor projects that I just put off and some major ones that I planned out but never actually started then there is a whole other section of ones I started but not finished. Here are some I finished or started so far:

I finally hung up my Westy print from Monocled Lop
Started working on my make up corner

Organized the spare room closet!

These are not the unfinished projects and there are few more projects I want to finish but I need to really write it all down otherwise I'll be back on the unfinished boat like I was before. Time for bed I have a very very long day at school tomorrow.

Count Down to Christmas

Our first Christmas in the apartment I just wanted something complete and easy as we were still settling in and unpacking. I went for one of those prepacked ornaments in a color set that had brown, dark red, and green. It looked nice but now I really want a different look for Christmas. I'm in no big hurry so if I don't have all the pieces by this Christmas I still have my other ornaments but I'm going to try my best to get something together and have a cute little retro tree!

I want to use vintage ornaments where I can but asides from vintage I'm not sure exactly what I want. So here are some things I'm leaning towards.

Getting Back On Track

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day! Mine went by so fast I can't believe it's already over. I made a baked potato casserole with the recipe I got from Food Coma and my Grandma's famous broccoli casserole.

I never tried this casserole before and it was delicious but the broccoli one did not turn out as well as it did the year before but mostly because I was in a hurry that morning and didn't take my time with the dish. All in all it was a nice Thanksgiving and good break.

I had a bunch of projects in mind during my break but my days quickly got filled up with other things I needed to do. So I'm getting all the supplies for the projects together soon and I'm going to try to do a few of the projects within the next few weeks. Also I'll be going back to regular posts next week! How did you spend your Thanksgiving holiday?

I usually don't do post this late but I was really excited about this blog award. I have been very gracious to have met so many bloggers since opening this little ol' blog so I'd like give a huge thank you to Melissa from Simply, Melissa Ashley who gave me this wonderful award. She has a great blog that I'd highly suggest checking it out!

My First Craft Show

Earlier today was my very first craft show! Like I mentioned before my boyfriend's co-worker, Martha, invited me to share her table at the Christmas Craft Show at a local church.
She makes wonderful purses, small bags, guitar straps anything that involves sewing.
It was a neat experience and though I didn't sell as much as I wanted I did sell somethings.
A lot of people liked my jewelry but next to me was a very experienced jewelry maker that had a table full so my little pieces were kind of overwhelmed by that. I know next time to be prepared!
I have a lot of Christmas/Holiday jewelry left so I'm going try and put that up on the site by Monday so don't forget to check it out.

Done!

Well almost done that is because I still have a presentation tomorrow morning on my business plan project. I finished my final exam though and only need to make note cards for the presentation. I'm not really nervous about it just tired and over it.

Now that all that is out of the way I can start getting nervous about my first craft show on Saturday. It's a Christmas Craft Show at a local church but there are a lot of people going to be there so I don't know what to expect.  My boyfriend's co-worker, Martha, is sharing part of her table with me so I'm not worried about not having enough to display. I am nervous about not having or made enough to replenish my area or running out of everything. Even with all this angst I'm very excited about my first show!

So next week I'm going to try and get back on schedule again with my regular post and get some projects in the mix to share. Some of the projects I've come across and wanted to try but some are my own. I'll update you all on how the show went Saturday but in case I don't get to it until Monday have a good weekend!

Vintage Finds

Another project and homework done and now a book report and two exams to go! I stayed up ΓΌber late, well basically stayed up until morning then took an hour nap before going to school, to put the finishing touches on a business plan. As soon as I came home I went to bed and I'm not going to worry about starting things until tomorrow.

Anyway I wanted to share my vintage find from the end of last month. I went to Goodwill to find pieces for my witch costume but did not find much except for this wonderful embroidered photo for $2.

I haven't figured out where on my vintage wall collage I was going to put it so it's hanging where an old photo was. I think it'll go great with the two embroidered duck photos I got and when I find a non-winter theme paint by numbers I think all the colors will come together!

Also wanted to share my chalk board media center mural for Halloween before I change it out for Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll be back to my regular posts in two weeks!
