My First Craft Show

Earlier today was my very first craft show! Like I mentioned before my boyfriend's co-worker, Martha, invited me to share her table at the Christmas Craft Show at a local church. 

She makes wonderful purses, small bags, guitar straps anything that involves sewing. 

It was a neat experience and though I didn't sell as much as I wanted I did sell somethings. 

A lot of people liked my jewelry but next to me was a very experienced jewelry maker that had a table full so my little pieces were kind of overwhelmed by that. I know next time to be prepared! 

I have a lot of Christmas/Holiday jewelry left so I'm going try and put that up on the site by Monday so don't forget to check it out.

12. I love art, crafting, design you name it!

Art- I have been drawing since I was three years old when I drew a picture of my grandpa (which my mom still has). I really enjoy drawing and painting and have really improved throughout the years. My biggest strength is drawing images and I've taught myself how to draw people better. I've been working with watercolors even more and I'm trying to find my style.

Crafting- I love taking things and creating my own style with them like this Owl Candle. It so fun to create things and  it takes my mind off other things when I'm crafting!

Design- When it comes to design my favorites are a toss up between interior and web design with fashion making it a close three way tie. I'm not an expert web designer but I like doing stuff myself and do the best with what I have. I really love interior design and was going for that in high school but had a change of plans. My interior design taste have really evolved since high school. I do have to admit sometimes my ideas aren't great and when they aren't complete (i.e the photo wall) I tend to change my mind. Though it usually ends up even better in the end.

Fashion- I loved playing dress up and creating crazy outfits when I was younger but I didn't really get into fashion personally until much later. As a teen I loved Teen Vogue and had created some cute outfits but it wasn't a daily thing more of when I felt like it. My senior year I did try a little more but in college I had to dress casual business. So I really got into creating outfits that were cute and professional while on a budget. I generally wear what I feel like along with the style I like either it be in fashion or last season.

Project Organize

As school is ending I really want to work on Craft'n Bettie, the blog and more artwork. My problem is even though I organized my desk and even organized my jewelry I still don't have places to put things. The biggest problem is not everything fits. I have six spray cans, packaging material, X-acto trimmer, hole puncher, and vintage items for Craft'n Bettie.

I'm surprised I posted these pictures but my main goal is to find a place for my items, have easy access to those items and keeping it all stylish. Next I need figure out a layout/style for fixing this ciaos!

It's a variety of fun and vintage charmed jewelry that I thought everyone would love! Some pieces are simple, and some are unique. D.I.Y | The Owl Mug Candle

Of course I did it the complicated way but I did discover a way to make it if the candle actually fits into the mug :)

I bought a candle because I couldn't find the wicks and I had to melt it in another mug to make it small enough to fit the ceramic cup. After microwaving it a few seconds at a time I then used tongs to lift the wick and candle out and into the other cup. I poured the rest of the wax in the cup and let it cool. It made a mess (that I'm still cleaning up) but it made an awesome owl candle. I'd advise you if you want to make something like this, measure the size of the cup first!
