We moved the spare bed to the other wall in the spare room. I changed out the duvet (the old one is the bundled up lump) and took my record frames and put them up in there. Now I need some kind of framed poster to help fill out the wall! Yes that is a California roll pillow :)

Obsession Wednesday
This weeks obsession is fair foods which aren't always good for you but oh so tasty. I've experienced my first onion blossom at the local country fair. Plus there are so many once a year favorite sweets like funnel cakes, and caramel apples. The only thing I have not had is fried candy bars just because I'm a little unsure about it. Maybe this year I'll brave up and try one!

Linked: Food Coma
Speaking of cooking and such here is another awesome blog featuring some tasty recipes.
Asides from some delicious food she also post adorable outfits and has book reviews. If you don't recognize her right away she also works along side her sister at Red Velvet and has her own catering business!
One Month Until My Birthday!
This year will be my 21st birthday! The stereotypical almost 21-er would say they're excited about being able to drink, which I won't deny, is sort of exciting. Me on the other hand, I'm more excited about purchasing wines to use for cooking. Oh my poor school cook books haven't been touched in years because a majority of the dishes I enjoyed making in class required wine. My first thing is shrimp bisque, then some GOOD rice pilaf and the list goes on.
On the blog I was thinking of doing a 21 things before 21 post before my birthday similar to ♥elycia's 28 things. I'll share a few embarrassing photos of me as a kid, some facts, and just fun stuff. Alright need to finish sifting through these magazines for healthy dinner ideas. Enjoy the rest of the day!

I really want a chambray skirt!!
I need to scout out the local thrift stores for me a pair.
Basically everything in her shop is adorable!
I love silly ice cube trays but these are just beyond brilliant!
We still need to get some patio furniture now if I can only find a few more of these.

Obsession Wednesday
This week's obsession is a more recent one of a television show called Doctor Who that I started watching earlier this year. The show itself started back in 1963 and follows the adventures of a time lord called the Doctor who travels through time in space in his blue police call box. The Doctor takes companions with him on these adventures and he has the ability to regenerate when he's about to die. The Doctor Who series took a break in the 90's and came back with the new series in 2005 and is in it's current sixth season (it's on a mid-series break right now) and it said to have a seventh season coming. I'd suggest either start at the first season of the 2005 series or if you're more interested in the current on-goings start with season five with the eleventh doctor.

Technical Difficulties
I'm having some technical difficulties trying to upload images from url onto the post for Obsession Wednesday. I'll work on it later and if it's still doing this before work then I'll try posting once I get home from work. Ugh and it was going to be a good one to! Sorry for the inconvenience.

Kitchen Table
I did a very long post about different center pieces for the kitchen table when I first started this blog. Instead of just choosing one I did a combination of different styles.
I used an old glass bottle with faux florals, my d.i.y owl candle and my vintage brass camel.

Frozen Yogurt
People keep talking about their lovely froyo dates in the blog world and it make me a little envious (and a bit jealous.) Don't get me wrong I love ice cream but frozen yogurt is something a little different. I had it before when I was younger but I never actually been to one of the yogurt shops until last year. I felt like a kid in a candy store with all the flavors and topping choices. I ended up getting vanilla bean, green tea with some fruit and I really enjoyed it. The reason why I'm so envious is the fact that the closet shop is almost 30 minutes away which kind of kills the spontaneous part of a quick little froyo date. If only there was a local froyo shop it'd really be fun to change up date night. Maybe we'd go out more often as opposed to waiting for us both to be off work for a full day. Okay end of my semi-rant.

The Dress
As mentioned before I was doing a dress project that was inspired by Kirsten over at Studs and Pearls. Also as promised here are the results of the dress..it's fantastic!
I bought the fabric at Fabric.com as recommended in the original post and got the tank on sale for $3.88 at Walmart.
It may not look like much and even though I'm not the greatest seamstress in the world it turned out great. Any little flaws (which were only about two) can easily be hidden with accessories.
Here is it all dolled up! The perfect dress.
Definitely going to be making a few more of these this summer!

So I figured the craft room was going to be a little geeky chic with a little kitschy added. We have most of the furniture so all we really need is decoration!
Seriously thinking of buying this print!

Dress Project
After seeing Kirsten over at Studs and Pearls do her gathered dress I knew I had to try it. I haven't used my sewing machine in a very long time due to a missing part and I recently got it back. I just finished upcyling an old long dress in a beautiful color and have been wanting to do more sewing projects. When it comes to finding a dress this style it has been a real challenge either its too low up top and too short on the bottom or the elastic band suck me in and make my hips look like balloons. I was planning on making it Friday but here is a sneak peek of what I'm generally going for. Full post once the dress is finished!

Obsession Wednesday
When I was younger I was sorta of a tomboy. I didn't like wearing dresses (unless I was playing dress up), I hated the color pink, I loved playing softball and spending my time outdoors. Though I did have my extremely girly moments separate from my tomboy phase (I was one sassy girl!) the one thing that made its way into my tomboy world was my love for flowers. So this post will be dedicated to all thing floral from prints, accessories you have it!
