I was excited when I got an opportunity to create an outfit using the lovely Winterberry Tart Coat from Modcloth. I loved the deep burgundy color of the coat but wanted to stay away from too many dark colors, so I found a colorful scarf to use as a jumping off point. From there I pulled the color of the tights from the birds, the golden trims from the bright yellow, then finally the shoes and purse worked with the black ink outlines of the birds.
