Something I've been really thinking about recently is planning out meals in advance. I get out of school late and Dustin usually works late hours so when we get home we're both tired and have no idea what we want to eat. This ends up with us getting fast food or eating a bowl of ramens. I want to eat healthier and save money so I asked a close friend what she does to plan her meals and she sent me a helpful little chart. She also told me about how she plans out two weeks worth of meals and only goes grocery shopping two times a month. Doing this helped cut her and her fiances grocery budget in half. Now I have another friend who, like me, is busy with school and she take Sunday's to prep for her weekly meals. It makes for easy grab and go lunches or putting together a quick dinner. I really want to give this a shot and see if we save money, time and get more veggies in our diet! Is there any little things that you do to help plan weekly meals?
